It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keeps the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.

Lloyd T. Bourgeois, Jr., who is more commonly known as Tommy Bourgeois, grew up in Patterson, Louisiana and now resides in Thibodaux.

Tommy graduated from Patterson High School in 1986. He earned his under-graduate degree in 1991 and after working for three years in Patterson and Morgan City, he attended law school and earned his juris doctor in 1997. He served as a law clerk for the 17th Judicial District Court in Lafourche Parish, then entered into private practice in 1998. He spent the next 18 years engaged in a variety of practice areas, including insurance litigation, succession/probate law, real estate and family law.

In 2015, Tommy joined the team at Ramsey, Skiles, Streva & Bourgeois, which has allowed him, as he describes, “the great honor and opportunity to serve our community, which is nearest and dearest to my heart”. Tommy has recently expanded his practice to serve the community of Pierre Part and the surrounding areas.

Tommy’s current practice is centered on the areas of successions/probate, personal injury, Social Security disability and personal/business transactions. His focus is always to utilize his experience gained in 21 years of practice, in many legal arenas, in numerous geographic locations to provide the most honest, practical and effective legal services possible.

In addition to his legal career, Tommy is raising his two fantastic teen-agers, one son and one daughter. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Wedell-Williams Aviation and Cypress Sawmill Museum in Patterson and on the Board of Directors of the Pierre Part/Belle River Business Group.
